I don’t like Rick Santorum at all, but the quote is not his. It is a quote from a fictitious article published on February 15, 2012 by a satirical web site “Free Wood Post” The connection was made after his comments on women’s rights (such as abortion, front-line service, and in the work force)
An ironic aspect of the last comment is that part of why this connection was made was because of what (supposedly) his wife wrote in a section of feminists due to having a bad experience when she quit her job to raise their kids. According to him, she felt that other women were looking at her with disgust for having made such a decision.
